She works in the church which has been converted into a patient care area. Partners in Health operates a huge community based healthcare system in Haiti, and many of it clinics and hospitals, such as their flagship hospital in Cange, have been flooded with victims of last week's tremendous earthquake that leveled Port-au-Prince. In fact, the church and the school on the hospital campus have been turned into patient wards. On Saturday morning, January 23, 2010, nurses and staff administered care to the patients huddle in rows on the floor of the converted church sanctuary. Story by Stephen Smith/Globe Staff.
