Haiti - earthquake 2010 - Dina
1/18/10 Port au Prince, Haiti - Dr. Gary Fleischer, the chair of the department of medicine at Children's Hospital, assesses a severely dehydrated newborn. (reported to be 1 day old, but may be 1 week old) On the Monday morning, DMAT 1 hurried to compete the hospital setup while hundreds of people waited outside the gates for a chance to be given medical treatment or resources or both. Thousands of displaced Haitians remained in their "Tent City," as the crew called it, which was the originally intended site of the hospital. Instead, DMAT set up inside a school yard.
